Any way to make the Chrysler Pacifica auto Tailgate work with an aftermarket alarm?

I bought a pacifica last week and just found out it has the auto tailgate that goes up and down by itself. but when i bought it didn't come with the factory remote and i got an after market one installed the day after i bought it. the alarm unlocks the tailgate and i can open it but i want to know if i can have the tailgate go up by itself or if i need to get a factory remote for that? thanks for the help
